Last week I was on vacation and had wanted to get a good head start with cycling, getting 2 or 3 day trips in, but ended up getting a pretty nasty sinus cold that didn't leave me feeling much like cycling.
Then this week, having planned to begin being dropped off at work in the morning, then cycle commuting home, it's been colder and rainy all week.
Murphy's freaking law!
I am really hoping the weather will be nice soon and I'll get out there and get back into shape. I was beginning to feel really good towards the end of last summer as I got nice, firm, bulging cyclist thighs, a firmer, rounder butt and flatter, harder tummy. And I had so much energy, so much stamina. I felt good!
I did go out for a few shorter more leisurely rides last week with plenty of tissues in the saddlebag and in my pockets, and the weather was lovely.
And I do really enjoy the new trekking handlebar. Now I just need to make cycling a regular thing again and hopefully get out there for a metric century next weekend.
Cheers.
